Private Sicily’ is an Incoming Tour Operator and DMC  for tailormade journeys to Sicily. 

Our customers are discerning, experienced and competent travelers who aim to discover Sicily. We offer them our knowledge of the destination and our creativity to design everyone's unique journey.

In every country there are not to be missed places, but most of all, there are special and unusual ways to visit and experience them.....We propose them that way, as we would recommend to a friend.

Our staff visits and selects every location, discrete luxury hotels, boutique wine resorts, charming B&B, constantly looking for special places that meet our idea of tourism and hospitality. And on top of that, we are always in search of authentic experiences, real life activities and well preserved traditions to share with our travellers.

The idea of creating “Private Sicily” got form when Francesco Pirelli, the owner of Lai Viaggi, a famous travel agency in Palermo, started to stroll about Sicily, out of the beaten paths. He wandered through the island in aristocratic mansions, in private reserves, in sunny farms, hosted by friends who shared with him their tables, their stories, their family memories and their longstanding relations spread all over the country. These are today the solid foundations of our business. 

The team:

Francesco Pirelli: owner and general manager, son of the founders of Lai Viaggi.

Arianna Scopelliti:product manager, grown up since childhood the travel industry. Her father was General Sales Agent for Scandinavian Arlines, Thai Airways and Air Malta in Sicily. After her university degree in tourism marketing and management, she gained ten years of experience working in the father's agency before she setting up Travelcafè, a travel agency specialized in tailor made journeys, with its own incoming t.o. - Travelsicilia - and, last but not least, inhouse book shop and travel-library . With this strong background and with all her passion for this country, she joined our team.

Claudia Gargano: booking manager, after completing her studies in tourism, she joined Le Vacanze Realizzabili Tour Operator , outgoing brand of Lai Viaggi, in the tailor made journeys department. After 13 years of outgoing experience, Claudia decided to dedicate her knowledge to Sicily and she does it with enthusiasm and energy.
