Go around in the historical city centre of Palermo, along a route of sites that are symbolic in the fight against the Mafia, and discover how the city is now rebelling against “pizzo”, the protection money the mafia demands. A different way to discover Palermo being aware you do not leave even a penny to the Mafia. The tour is led by Addiopizzo, the association that since 2004 promotes rebellion against the system of extortion through the critical consumption, supporting those who do not pay protection money. It also includes stops at shops and business owners who have said no to pizzo and joined the Addiopizzo critical consumption campaign. Last stop, where you have the opportunity of a typical Sicilian lunch (not included in the tour fee), will be at Antica Focacceria San Francesco, historical restaurant whose owners had the bravery to report their extorsionists.
