Meet at the lobby of your hotel the English speaking driver-escort and leave towards Marsala area via the spectacular “Salt Route”, a captivating road flanked by the glittering ponds of the salt pans, windmills, and the “salt houses” (piles of salt covered with tiles) … (here they still extract the sea salt as the Phoenicians did!). Take a boat excursion to the isle of Mothia, an ancient Phoenician colony where you will visit the archaeologycal area and the Whitaker’s museum, hosting the famous statue of „The Young Man from Mothya“. Continue with a visit to the small salt museum. Consider to have lunch in a typical trattoria overlooking the Stagnone Lagoon. In the afternoon proceed to Erice, a medieval lovely town on top of a hill, founded by the Phoenicians and dedicated to Venus, the Goddess of Love. Back to Palermo.
