Modica, a delicious Baroque Town
Modica - as you walk along the streets you will first of all notice the stairs, which are a characteristic of the town; the most beautiful and impressive leads to St. George Church, a wonderful Church overlooking a staircase instead of a square.
Modica is well known for its chocolate: the history of modician chocolate dates back in the past, when Modica was related with Spain and consequently with the ancient civilazation of Mexico, the Aztec.
Highly recommended as Self-drive Itinerary. Advised airports, Catania and Comiso
Modica is at a short distance from pristine beaches and from the other Baroque Towns part of UNESCO.
You have the chance to sleep in a nice boutique hotel in the heart of Val di Noto and to taste the chocolate that is one of the ancient gastronomic tradition of this town.
